How does the trade-in process work?
You can get a same day offer online or bring your car in to get an appraisal that’s good for 7 days or 200 miles, whichever comes first. If you’re happy with your offer online, bring your car in for an appraisal to test drive and verify its condition. You can choose to apply your offer towards a new car or we’ll write you a check.
Can I sell my car to Rothrauff Auto Sales?
Yes! Get an offer online through our Sell/Trade page, or bring it in for an on-site appraisal. We’ll test drive and verify the car’s condition when you arrive and write you a check.
How long is my offer good for?
Your offer is good for 7 days or 200 miles, whichever comes first.
How do I know if the offer is fair?
Our offer is based on KellyBlueBook values, so you know you are getting a fair price for your vehicle.
How long does the process take?
If you fill out our online form, we will be in contact same day with you. When you bring your vehicle in, the process should only take 20 minutes to verify the condition of your vehicle and write you a check.
Do I have to trade in a car?
No. You will lose any potential tax credit savings by not trading your car in with us but it is perfectly fine to keep your current vehicle.
What is different about the vehicles we offer for sale?
Each car undergoes a quality inspection to ensure reliability with a brand new PA Inspection. Our cars also qualify for our vehicle service contracts, keeping your ride safe for years to come.
Do our cars come with a warranty?
Our vehicles are thoroughly inspected before being offered for sale. We do not currently offer any dealer warranty on our vehicles but do offer optional vehicle service contracts at time of purchase.
What work does Rothrauff Auto Sales perform on cars before they offered for sale?
Our service shop fix issues uncovered in the inspection, perform needed maintenance, and every vehicle is thoroughly cleaned and detailed. Every car meets or exceeds state inspection requirements, and we ensure it is road-ready and looks like new.
What is our commitment to our inspections?
Our inspection includes a road test and detailed inspection of the interior, exterior, under hood, tires, wheels, brakes, underbody, and any major electric systems.

No, at Rothrauff Auto Sales, we give you the lowest price upfront and take pride in providing a hassle-free and transparent experience.
Do I get to test drive the car before I buy?
We always encourage you to test drive the car before you buy. We even encourage you to take it to your own mechanic.

Rothrauff Auto Sale’s accepts Cash and Check.
What kind of lenders do you work with?
We work with top lenders to get you the most competitive financing terms. Our lenders include names like First National or Jersey Shore to smaller local banks in our area. We cover all lenders for all credit score ranges. Your financing agreement is subject to the lender’s contractual loan terms and conditions.
I purchased optional protection plans. What happens when I have a claim?
If you added optional protection plans to your purchase, you’ll get detailed information on your plan. This includes how to use your protection plan and contact information to make a claim. If you have any questions, we are always available and happy to help.
Can I purchase the protection plans later?
We will not be able to include the price of the protection plan in your financing after purchase. If you are still interested in the protection plan, we would be happy to discuss your options with you.
I purchased a vehicle service contract. Who can I use for my repairs?
Our protection plan companies are accepted at every major service center. Each company has a list of preferred repair stations.
Can I find out what's on my credit report?
Yes, all three credit bureaus: Experian, Transunion, Equifax offer a free yearly report for you. We encourage you to take advantage of this.
How are my financing terms determined?
Our lenders determine your finance offers based on your credit file and information you provide.
How do I make changes to my test drive time or car?
If you need to make a change to your test drive time or car, reach out to us via email or phone. After submitting a test drive form, we will reach out shortly after to confirm the details.
Why do I need to provide a copy of my driver’s license to test drive?
We have to make sure every person test driving a car is legally licensed for insurance purposes.
How do I cancel a test drive?
